Why did I try?

Before I start, I think you should know...this is dedicated
to the person who came after my best friend, Cash....but before
my love, Anton. And just exactly how he made me feel all the time.

I don't know why I even try anymore,
all you do is hurt me, and make me cry.

hit me, or abandon me for days on end.
I would wait, then cry forgiveness, for
imagined sins, thinking it would bring
you back to me.
Unfortunately, it did.
Then, the cycle would begin anew...
